Russia announced: They will not be able to enter the country
The written statement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that there is political pressure on Russian-speaking media in Moldova and that the websites of these organizations are blocked.
For this reason, the statement indicates that the Moldovan ambassador in Moscow, Lilian Darii, was summoned to the ministry and was given a note of protest: “The ambassador was informed that, as an asymmetric response, some officials of the Republic of Moldova prohibited them from entering the Russian Federation.”
Moldova’s Information and Security Service (SIS) reported last month that access to 20 websites of Russia’s main media outlets and television channels was blocked, including the Tass news agency, Interfax, Rossiyaskaya Gazeta and the Izvestiya newspapers. (AA)
