Reactions to Israel are increasing
Thousands of people protested in New York, United States, to stop Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Thousands of activists gathered in front of the National Library in Manhattan, paralyzing city traffic as they walked from Fifth Avenue to the National Post Office building on Eighth Avenue.
The group, which demanded an immediate ceasefire for Gaza, called on the United States to end its aid to Israel.
Some peace-loving Israeli-American citizens were among the activists who organized and gathered a large crowd on social media.
During the hour-long march, tension rose from time to time between protesters chanting pro-Palestinian slogans and the small number of pro-Israel supporters. The police intervened against some protesters.
