Netanyahu’s response to Erdogan
As Israel’s attacks on blockaded Gaza become increasingly intense, relations between Ankara and Tel Aviv are also deteriorating.
According to the statement from his office, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu reacted to President Erdogan’s statement that “Israel is a terrorist state.”
Netanyahu said that Erdoğan “called Israel a terrorist state but supports Hamas’ terrorist activities” and used the following statements:
“He bombed Turkish villages within the borders of Türkiye. We will not accept your sermons.”
WHAT DID ERDOĞAN SAY?
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at his party group meeting today: “The Israeli administration is carrying out the most treasonous attacks in human history against children, women and civilians in Gaza. “Israel is a terrorist state,” he said.
Erdoğan said: “You refer to Hamas as a terrorist organization, Hamas is a political party that participated and won the elections in Palestine, and after winning the elections, you took away its rights.”
