The South American country Bolivia announced that it had “cut diplomatic relations with Israel” due to continued attacks on Gaza.
Presidential spokesperson María Nela Prada and Vice Chancellor Freddy Mamani announced in a joint press conference that they decided to cut diplomatic relations with Israel. Mamani stated that they held this press conference due to the dangerous events in the Middle East and said: “Bolivia has decided to cut diplomatic relations with the State of Israel. “Our country had previously made two official statements on the question of Palestine,” he said.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro and Chilean President Gabriel Boric recalled their ambassadors in Tel Aviv for consultations due to Israel’s continued attacks on Gaza.
Gustavo Petro shared the following statements on his X social network account: “I decided to call our ambassador in Israel for consultation. “We cannot be there if Israel does not stop its massacres against the Palestinian people.”
Chilean President Gabriel Boric stated in his statement that Israel violated international human rights law in the Gaza Strip and that he invited the Chilean ambassador in Tel Aviv to return to the country for consultations. (AA)
