Russian mercenary chief: We are dying, send ammunition

Prigojin, also known as the “Kremlin cook”, posted a video about the ammunition problem they experienced in the war in Ukraine on his company’s social media account called “Konkord”.

Prigojin, who showed the bodies of the recently killed Wagner warriors in the video broadcast at night, claimed that these fighters were some of his sons and some of them his parents. Noting that the fighters died due to lack of ammunition, Prigojin said that those who do not provide ammunition “will burn in hell.”

Prigokhin reacted very harshly to the Russian government.

In his speech, Prigojin angrily shouted: “We don’t have enough ammunition at the rate of 70 percent. Shoigu! Gerasimov! Where are the ammunition? Look at these (corpses on the ground)!” saying.

Prigojin, who claimed that those who did not give them ammunition lived in rich clubs and determined the fate of their warriors according to their taste, argued that if they gave Wagner ammunition from warehouses, their losses would be 5 times less. “(The fighters) came here voluntarily and they are dying,” Prigojin said.

Since February, Prigojin had been seeking the support of the Russian Defense Ministry, claiming that “they no longer supplied them with ammunition.”

“WE WILL RETIRE ON MAY 10”

Prigojin said that if they were not given the necessary ammunition from the Russian army, they would withdraw some of the fighters from Bahmut, where they were fighting with the Ukrainian soldiers.

Prigojin also announced today that the mercenaries will leave Bahmut on May 10. “On behalf of the Wagner fighters, I would like to announce our decision to withdraw from Bahmut on May 10, 2023 to heal our wounds,” said Prigojin, one of Russian President Putin’s most trusted names.

“I am withdrawing Wagner from Bahmut because we are short of ammunition,” Prigojin said.

The British news agency Reuters recalled that Wagner’s mercenaries participated in the longest and bloodiest clashes in Ukraine since last summer to capture Bahmut. (Agency)
