Erdogan meeting with Iran’s leader at Masjid al-Aqsa
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a telephone conversation with Iranian President İbrahim Reisi.
According to the statement made by the Presidential Communications Directorate, regional developments including Turkey-Iran relations and Israel’s attacks on Masjid al-Aqsa were discussed at the meeting. During the meeting, President Erdoğan stressed the importance of uniting the Islamic world against Israel’s increasing inhumane attacks on Palestine, especially on Masjid al-Aqsa.
Emphasizing that common sense must prevail to avoid a new spiral of violence, Erdoğan said it would be beneficial to take initiatives to guide all parties towards common sense.
Calling for joint efforts to preserve the status of holy places on international platforms, especially the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations, Erdogan said that this unit was held in various European cities, especially in front of Turkish embassies. that it is also important that they exhibit themselves in the face of burning actions.
