Maduro: We love Erdogan very much
The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, received the Minister of Commerce, Mehmet Muş, and the Turkish delegation at the Miraflores Palace. Speaking after the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Board of Foreign Economic Relations (DEIK) and the International Center for Productive Investments (CIIP) of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Maduro said: “We had a great meeting with the Minister of Muş, where we approve the great goals of commercial exchange and advance in the integration of investments and interests of our countries, we have confirmed their efficient economic development”.
Referring to the trade objectives between the two countries, Maduro said: “Future prosperity, wealth and mutual benefit await economic relations between Venezuela and Turkey. This is how it has been until now, this is how it will be from now on, we are moving forward ”.
Emphasizing the importance of Turkish Airlines (THY) between the two countries, Maduro said: “We always welcome the growth of Turkey. We already have 7 flights a week and this will continue to increase, because Turkey not only links Caracas, but also Istanbul, South America and all the regions, ”he said.
Recalling the friendship between the two countries, Maduro said:
“We see President Erdogan as a big brother of our country, Turks should know that we love Erdogan very much because he is benevolent and big-hearted. Erdogan has always been by Venezuela’s side in our most difficult years, in the worst conditions we have experienced. He extended the hand of love and compassion from him to our country. Greetings to the Turkish people and to Erdogan.”
Stating that Venezuela has reached a new stage in economic growth, Maduro said that they have made great strides in areas other than oil. Underlining the brotherhood between both countries, Maduro concluded his words as follows:
“Thank you very much for your visit, you will always find brotherhood here, I appreciate your investments in Venezuela. God bless Turkey, God bless Venezuela, thank you very much. I greet the Minister of Commerce of the Republic of Turkey, I greet with affection the President of the Republic of Turkey.” (AA)
