The cabinet will present its plan for agricultural sector reform in September. This was stated by Minister Piet Adema (Agriculture) after the deliberation in the Council of Ministers.
The plan will focus on how the sector will be reformed up to and including 2040. Earlier this week, consultations on the agricultural agreement collapsed when the agricultural and horticultural organization LTO Netherlands withdrew. According to Adema, it shouldn’t take too long now; he wants to work “at full speed” on a plan in the next period.
