Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan met with bank executives at the Istanbul Financial Center.
At the first meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) chaired by Erkan, the policy rate was increased from 8.5 percent to 15 percent. After the decision, which caused dynamism in the markets, the governor of the Central Bank, Erkan, met with the bank’s executives.
The meeting, which took place at the Ziraat Bank headquarters in the Istanbul Financial Center in Ataşehir, began at around 4:00 p.m.
It became known that Erkan will listen to the problems of the banking sector, the demands of bankers and solutions to problems.
