The retirement bonus was accepted by the Planning and Budget Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and it was decided to add it to the general law. The 5,000 TL retirement bonus will be deposited into the accounts within the first 15 days of November. Pensioners, whose financial difficulties have increased following tax and price hikes that began after the elections, are waiting for the October 29 Republic Day retirement bonus to be deposited into their accounts.
WHEN WILL THE RETIREMENT BONUS BE PAID?
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated that the date of payment of 5,000 lira to non-working retirees will not exceed November 15.
Işıkhan answered journalists’ questions after the Cabinet meeting held at the Presidential Complex.
To the question about the timing of the 5,000 lira payment that will be given to all retirees except retirees who continue to work, Işıkhan replied: “It seems that the payments will not exceed November 15.”
WHO WILL GIVE THE 5000 TL RETIREMENT BONUS?
After the cabinet meeting, ErdoÄŸan announced who will receive the retirement bonuses. ErdoÄŸan announced that no retirement bonuses will be given to retirees who continue to work.
“We exclude from this regulation our retirees who have retired but continue to actively work. These payments will be deposited into the accounts of our retirees starting in the first half of November. At the beginning of the year we will review the situation of our retirees and make all possible sacrifices. “I hope this decision will be beneficial.”
WILL THOSE WHO RECEIVE A WIDOW’S AND ORPHAN’S PENSION RECEIVE A RETIREMENT BONUS?
Widows without children are expected to benefit from a 75 percent bonus, widows with children will benefit from a 50 percent bonus, and orphans will benefit from a 25 percent bonus.
Accordingly, it is stated that payments for citizens with children and widows will be 2,500 TL, and the payment for orphans will remain at 1,250 TL.
