Crisis between Israel and Lebanon
Hezbollah made a statement regarding the attack on Israeli forces from southern Lebanon.
The statement states that “in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza, an attack was carried out against the Israeli military post of Jal al-Alem with appropriate weapons.”
According to the official Lebanese agency NNA, tensions began to arise again on the Lebanon-Israel border after the “humanitarian pause” in Gaza ended.
The news said that the Israeli army attacked with artillery fire the areas near the cities of Lebbune and Ayta al-Shaab in the southern region of Lebanon.
In clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah since October 8, 86 Hezbollah members and 6 Israeli soldiers were killed.
Clashes between Israel and Hezbollah had subsided significantly after the “humanitarian pause” reached by Israel and Hamas on November 24. (DHA)
