Efforts to extend the ceasefire in Gaza… Mossad and the CIA land in Qatar
While the humanitarian pause and prisoner exchange agreed to by Hamas and Israel were extended for another two days, mediator Qatar accelerated efforts to further extend the temporary ceasefire.
Sources speaking to Reuters reported that Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurrahman Al Thani met with US and Israeli intelligence officials visiting the country. Egyptian officials also reportedly attended talks held in Doha by CIA and Mossad officials on the ceasefire and prisoner exchange.
Prisoner exchanges continue between Israel and Palestine within the framework of the temporary ceasefire that stopped the attacks in Gaza, in which more than 15,000 people died. So far, 150 Palestinians have been freed in exchange for 50 Israeli women and children held hostage.
Israel offers to continue ceasefire if Hamas releases at least 10 hostages a day.
