The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that the new round of the Confidence Building Measures Meeting between the Turkish and Greek delegations took place. The statement of the Ministry of National Defense on the subject is as follows:
* “The new round of the meeting on Confidence Building Measures (GAÖ) between the Turkish and Greek delegations took place on November 13, 2023. The meeting was organized by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey in Ankara .
“THE MEETING WAS HELD IN A POSITIVE AIR”
*Both delegations were made up of ambassadors, high-ranking military personnel and civil officials. At the meeting, both parties agreed to re-implement and implement the previously agreed GAOs throughout 2024, subject to approval by the competent authority.
* The meeting in question took place in a positive atmosphere. Both parties also agreed to establish a Contact Point Mechanism to stay in touch and facilitate the implementation of the agreed GAOs. The next meeting will be hosted by Greece.” (PHOENIX)
