Iran: Everyone should choose their side, we must confront Israel

Iranian President Reis spoke at the Extraordinary Joint Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League held in Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia.

Reisi said: “Today we meet to make a historic decision on one of the most important issues in the Islamic world. Today is the day to act. “Today is the day to defend Masjid al-Aqsa,” he said.

Reisi noted that Israel used banned weapons in its attacks on Gaza, which it had “turned for years into an open-air prison” and especially targeted women and children, and assessed the war in Gaza between “the axis of honor versus “the axis of evil.”

“ISLAMIC COUNTRIES MUST TAKE ACTION”

The Iranian president stated that the US administration, which vetoed growing calls for a ceasefire in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to stop Israel’s attacks, invalidated the effectiveness of all international organizations, but that the Islamic countries should take action.

Reisi said: “Nowadays, everyone must choose their side. “For Gaza it is necessary to act, not talk more,” he said.

“PERVERTED CONCEPTS LIKE THE HUMAN INTERMEDIATE…”

Reisi, referring to the emergence of the concept of a “humanitarian pause in conflicts” instead of a ceasefire, said:

“The Zionist regime and its supporters must not be allowed to create tactical pauses to escape public pressure and commit more crimes by proposing perverted concepts such as ‘humanitarian pause.’ “All means must be mobilized to force the United States and the Zionist enemy to accept an immediate cessation of the killing machine.”

“THE PURPOSE IS GENOCIDE”

Stating that the United States is actively participating in the war on behalf of Israel by sending forces to the region, Reisi said that the Washington administration is complicit in war crimes committed by Israel.

Emphasizing that the goal of Israel’s all-out attacks on Gaza is genocide, Reisi expressed his country’s recommendations against these attacks.

Reisi affirmed that the attacks on Gaza must stop immediately and, in a second step, emphasized the urgency of reopening the Rafah border gate immediately and unconditionally, with the cooperation of Egypt.

Calling for a large-scale boycott against Israel, Reisi said: “Islamic countries should immediately end all types of political and economic relations with the Zionist regime, especially in the field of energy.”

“THE ISRAELI ARMY SHOULD BE DECLARED A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION”

Iranian President Reisi declared that Israeli forces should be withdrawn from Gaza and said: “If the war crimes of the Zionist regime continue and the American administration continues this unequal war, Islamic countries should arm the Palestinian people and declare the Israeli army a terrorist organization.”

“RESISTANCE IS THE ONLY SOLUTION”

Reisi said: “We must confront Israel and the only solution is resistance.”

Emphasizing the need to establish an international tribunal on war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza, Reisi stated that nuclear weapons that are not under the control of the Tel Aviv administration must be immediately opened to international inspection.

Reisi stated that the only solution to the Israeli problem is “the establishment of a Palestinian State from the sea to the river” and that this can be achieved through a referendum to be held with the participation of the Muslim, Christian and Jewish people of Palestine.

Reisi also addressed Israel’s attempts to deport the Palestinian people, saying: “Iran views the Palestinian resistance as a liberation movement and considers the displacement and deportation of Gazans as a continuation of aggression and a crime of war”. (AA)
