The Turks crossed the Alps, the German government urgently met
As Germany’s government and state premiers search for a solution to illegal immigration, the influx into the country continues… Since border controls began, illegals are trying to enter the country by different methods.
While Turks ranked first in illegal entries into Germany, the main reason for this was determined to be that some Turkish restaurants in Germany, experiencing labor shortages, attempted to illegally bring their relatives from Turkey.
THEY CROSSED THE MOUNTAINS OF THE ALPS
More than 30 illegals, 20 of whom were Turks, were captured near Garmis Partenkirchen, famous for winter sports in Bavaria, Germany.
It was determined that the fugitives disguised themselves as a group of tourists doing mountain trekking and crossed the Alps and entered the country through mountain roads.
The group was discovered after receiving a tip from a German who suspected that the group of mountaineers had luggage with them. The Syrians were taken to the First Reception Center. Deportation procedures have been initiated for Turkish citizens.
Those trying to arrive through Eastern Europe now try to pass through gaps in other border regions instead of border gates.
Hundreds of fugitives were recaptured near Görlitz. The Turks were separated from the fugitives, some of whom hid next to the train tracks, others by the river, and others in the pits. Others were transferred to initial reception centers.
NEW STEPS BY THE GOVERNMENT
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Scholz and his coalition partners met with 16 state premiers last night. A draft agreement with 17 articles was prepared at the meeting on preventing illegal immigration.
Some results were obtained from the conversations that began last night at 6:00 p.m. and continued late into the night.
- ASYLUM OUTSIDE GERMANY: Those who want to enter the country illegally will request asylum outside of Germany. If the person arrived in Germany and did not apply for asylum before arriving, they will be returned to the country where they came from. In this way it will be known in advance whether or not her asylum will be accepted and we will proceed accordingly; and transit from neighboring countries will be prevented.
- LESS MONEY AND PAYMENT CARDS: To reduce the burden on states, aid per immigrant will increase to 7,500 euros. Aid paid to immigrants will be reduced. For some expenses, you will be given a check or payment card instead of cash. The asylum procedure will be considered 36 months instead of 18 months. In the past, when the procedure lasted more than 18 months, the benefits that a normal German received were paid. Now this period will be extended to 36 months. In other words, the “period during which financial aid is scarce” will double.
- THE ASYLUM PROCEDURE WILL BE ACCEPTED: The Department of Immigration and Refugees, which is in charge of asylum procedures, will complete the procedures within six months. Legal changes will be made in the courts to shorten the deadlines and the process will be completed in 6 months. For those coming from safe countries, the asylum period will be reduced to 3 months. Those whose asylum is rejected will be deported immediately.
