A Turkish father kidnapped his daughter… The hostage crisis in Hamburg is over
The hostage crisis at Hamburg airport, caused by the Turkish father who kidnapped his 4-year-old daughter since last night and put the police on alert, ended after hours.
The 35-year-old Turkish father, who had taken his 4-year-old daughter from her mother, arrived at Hamburg airport and stopped under the THY plane. The armed father, who wanted to kidnap her daughter and send her to Turkey, opened fire and threw Molotov cocktails.
The German police, who evacuated the THY plane, had been trying to persuade the Turkish father since 8:12 p.m. last night. Many flights were canceled due to the crisis.
As his persuasion efforts bore fruit, the father surrendered and was taken into custody. It was noted that the child was also under protection.
Authorities indicated that the man, who had a custody fight with his wife, exited the vehicle with his daughter hours later and turned himself in, and that the girl was in good condition.
