Dr Muhammed en-Nakle, who works in the dialysis department, said: “A thousand kidney patients were condemned to a slow death due to lack of medical supplies and fuel.” saying.

The Palestinian doctor said dialysis sessions at Shifa Hospital were reduced due to a lack of necessary facilities.

Nakle said: “The minimum need for dialysis of a patient is 3 sessions a week, 4 hours a day. However, in our current situation, a patient can now undergo dialysis for 2 sessions a week, 6 hours a day. “This is not enough to protect the patient’s life.” he said.

Nakle drew attention to the lack of medical supplies, saying: “The medical supplies we have left will not last more than a week. “The current power outage and the fact that fuel and remaining medical supplies are close to running out put patients at risk of death.” he said.

“We urgently need medical equipment and assistance to save patients’ lives.” Nakle said, asking for help.
