Harry Potter’s child, taken hostage by Hamas, dies
The Israeli government announced that Noya, an autistic patient who was kidnapped in Gaza during the bloody Hamas attack and in which JK Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter books, also intervened, died along with his grandmother.
The Israeli government claimed that Noya (12), an autistic patient and fan of the famous Harry Potter novel series, was kidnapped by Hamas in occupied Gaza on October 15, and asked JK Rowling, author of the novels, for support to make known the girl’s story.
Rowling said on October 16: “Child abduction is a despicable act and completely unjust. For obvious reasons, this image moved me deeply. “I hope that Noya and all the hostages held by Hamas will be reunited with their families safely and as soon as possible,” she said.
The Israeli government announced today in a statement that the bodies of Noya and her grandmother were found. “We are deeply saddened to announce that the bodies of Noya and her grandmother were found yesterday,” the statement said. Thank you JK Rowling, thank you for sharing her story in the hope that she will come home. “We are heartbroken,” she said.
