Israel attacks Gaza and Lebanon

The Israeli army reportedly continued bombing various parts of the Gaza Strip with airstrikes throughout the night.

According to eyewitness accounts in Gaza, emergency relief and rescue teams heading to areas exposed to shelling were attacked by Israeli aircraft on Cela Street. There were deaths and injuries among civil defense and emergency services teams that were attacked by Israeli aircraft.

Furthermore, eyewitnesses said that the Israeli army kept eastern Gaza, the Shujaiyya and Zeytun neighborhoods and the north of the city under heavy shelling. There were injuries in the attacks that spread to the Tuffah district in the northeast of the city, and light bombs were dropped that lit up the sky in the northern regions.

THE LEBANON BORDER IS TENSE

The Israeli army announced that an officer was killed as a result of anti-tank fire on the Lebanese border.

Israel was also reported to have attacked targets in southern Lebanon with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and armed helicopters. According to the Lebanese news agency NNA, Al-Avida Hill, located west of the city of Keferkila, was bombed by Israeli UCAVs. There was no loss of life in the attack.

The Jebel Balat region in the south and the “Western Strip” were also attacked by Israeli helicopters.

Since the Israeli-Palestinian conflict began on October 7, southern Lebanon has been the scene of mutual attacks between Israel and Hezbollah.

THOUSANDS OF PREGNANT WOMEN ARE DEPRIVED OF HEALTH SERVICES

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) reported that 50,000 pregnant women in the Gaza Strip are deprived of basic health services.

According to the UNFPA statement on platform X, 5,500 pregnant women in Gaza will give birth this month. The statement stated that pregnant women in Gaza need urgent protection and health surveillance, and recommended that all parties respect international human rights.

On the other hand, in statements to the CNN television channel, the director of the UN Population Fund, Dominic Allen, stated that the health system in Gaza is about to collapse. (AA)
