Hagari claimed that they attacked the homes and bases of the elite commando units of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, which were involved in attacks on surrounding Israeli settlements from the Gaza Strip. Stating that they received information about “tunnels, launch pads, assembly points, military positions” in Gaza from wounded Palestinian armed elements, Hagari stated that they will settle scores with all those who participated in the attack.

Stating that the Israeli army is making preparations against a possible attack from the north, the spokesman said that soldiers are patrolling the residential areas of the region, setting up checkpoints, preparing traps in the countryside and that the region will be reinforced with more troops. .

Meanwhile, the Israeli military’s written statement states that the senior leader of the Qassam marine units, Mohammed Abu Shamla, was killed in the strikes carried out in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip overnight.
