Russian intelligence: Britain trained Ukrainians for sabotage

The director of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), Aleksandr Bortnikov, claimed that British special forces trained Ukrainian military intelligence groups to sabotage Russian nuclear power plants.

According to the TASS news agency, Bortnikov spoke at the meeting of heads of security institutions and special forces of the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Recalling that the Russian intelligence service FSB captured members of the Ukrainian intelligence and sabotage group in August, Bortnikov said: “During the operation and investigation, it was determined that the training of saboteurs and the preparation of plans were carried out. by members of the special forces of the British Armed Forces.”

Noting that the group’s tasks include sabotaging military facilities, fuel, transportation and critical infrastructure, Bortnikov stated that these groups also have plans to especially sabotage the Smolensk and Kursk nuclear power plants.

Stating that Ukraine has become a training ground for terrorists and mercenaries from different countries of the world thanks to the efforts of Western countries, Bortnikov argued that there are only “17 militant training camps for the Ukrainian armed forces of the countries of the European Union (EU). “

“Westerners actively support the movement of militants to the conflict zone of Ukraine,” Bortnikov said. We recorded the participation in conflicts of employees of 13 European private military companies and members of 9 foreign paramilitary units. “794 mercenary fighters from 35 countries were identified,” he said.
