Armenia’s actions also angered the UN: Worrying
The President of the 78th United Nations (UN) General Assembly, Dennis Francis, held a press conference following the General Assembly discussions held in New York from September 19 to 26.
Stating that 189 UN members spoke at the General Assembly, Francis recalled that the leaders called for the resolution of conflicts.

Francisco affirmed that among the important points on the agenda, climate change and the sustainable development goals stand out, and said that he is hopeful in terms of implementation.
Noting the importance of political declarations accepted by leaders in the field of health, Francis stated that the international community and the UN should focus more on this issue.

Francis on the question of how he evaluates Armenia’s laying of approximately 1 million mines during the period when it occupied Azerbaijani lands and its failure to share information about the location of the mines. “This situation is worrying.” he commented he.
Underlining that some categories of weapons should not be used in conflicts according to international law, Francis said: “I call on all parties to the conflict to fulfill their obligations within the context of international law.” he said.
Stating that the categories of weapons in question create “pain and cruelty,” Francis noted that humanitarian effects must be taken into account.
Advisor to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hacıyev, said: “Since 1991, 3,385 Azerbaijanis have been victims of mines laid by Armenia. “Armenia and the illegal puppet junta regime continue to place mines produced in Armenia throughout the ‘gray zone’.” He used the following expressions.
