Azerbaijani MP Ganire Pashayeva dies
Ganire Pashayeva, a deputy and chairwoman of the Culture Commission of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, was hospitalized in Baku, the country’s capital, on September 24 and taken to intensive care.
Paşayeva, who was diagnosed with a hypotonic condition of unknown origin, died at the age of 48.
WHO IS GANIRE PASHAYEVA?
Ganire Pashayeva was born on March 24, 1975 in Tovuz, Azerbaijan.
Pashayeva, a graduate of the Department of Pediatrics of Azerbaijan Medical University and the Department of International Law of Baku State University, began broadcasting television in 1998.
Pashayeva became head of the Public Relations Department of the Heydar Aliyev Fund in 2005.
Shortly after, Paşayeva was elected Tovuz MP in the parliamentary elections held on November 6, 2005 and held different positions in parliament.
Pashayeva was most recently head of the Cultural Commission of the National Assembly.
Pashayeva participated in numerous events in Türkiye.
Pashayeva, who wrote many writings and speeches about the Turkish world, argued that “the strength of Turkey means the strength of the Turkish world.”
Pashayeva, who was single, knew English and Russian.
