Clear explanation after explosions at gas station
Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu launched investigations after three consecutive explosions went off at a gas station in the town of Crevedia, near the capital Bucharest, on Saturday afternoon.
After the incident, in which one person was killed and 58 others were injured, Ciolacu visited the families of those affected by the explosion.
Speaking to the press here, Ciolacu said: “I went to Crevedia to support all those affected by the explosion. We will assess the damage and provide support from the government reserve fund. I want to be very clear; All the direct or indirect perpetrators of this tragedy will pay the price, regardless of who they are and what position they hold. The law must be applied from point to comma. Starting tomorrow, all gas stations in the country will be inspected and those that are not suitable will be closed immediately. “If legislative changes are necessary, we will make them quickly with a decree law,” he said.
