Condemnation of the attack on a mosque in the Greek Cypriot administration by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
In a written statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, we strongly condemn the arson attack on the Köprülü Hacı İbrahim Ağa Mosque in the city of Limassol by the Greek Cypriot Administration (GCA) in the early hours of the day. . We fully support the statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on this matter.
“TO THE ACTIONS CARRIED OUT IN THE PAST A NEW ONE IS ADDED”
In continuation of the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “With the atrocious attack mentioned above, a new one is added to the actions carried out in the past against different mosques in the Greek Cypriot Administration. This attack, which is the latest example of growing anti-Islamism across Europe, not only targets Muslims, but also reveals once again how serious the threat to our common human values has become. On the other hand, the hatred and intolerance revealed by the aforementioned attack indicates how far some sections of the Greek Cypriot community are from the idea of living together with Turkish Cypriot Muslims in peace, tranquility and tolerance; It is further proof that the two-State vision of the Turkish Cypriot side is the only realistic model for resolving the Cyprus issue.
