Attack on a mosque in the Greek Cypriot side

It has been reported that a Molotov cocktail attack was carried out on a mosque in the southern Cyprus city of Limassol (GCA).

The official agency of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the Turkish Agency (TAK) and the Greek media news, claimed that a person threw a Molotov cocktail at the İbrahimağa Köprülü Mosque in Limassol at night; It was observed that the door and the wall of the mosque were damaged.

While the Philenews website reported that the attack was carried out with Molotov cocktails, Antenna claimed that a firecracker was thrown at the mosque, causing minor damage. TAK announced that the Greek Cypriot police started working to catch the attacker(s) after the attack was reflected on security cameras.

General Manager of the Cyprus Administration of Foundations (EVKAF), Prof. Dr. İbrahim Benter condemned the attack and stated that the mosque where a Molotov cocktail attack was carried out at around 01:10 p.m. was the İbrahimağa Mosque Köprülü in Limassol.
