New attack on Quran by Iraqi-born provocateur in Sweden

Salwan Momika, of Iraqi origin, who appeared in front of the Swedish Parliament under extensive police protection, stepped on the Koran despite the reaction of the people around him. Speaking insults to Islam, Momika set fire to the Qur’an.

Momika wiped her feet with a piece of paper containing photos of Iranian President Ibrahim Reisi and the leader of the Sadr Movement in Iraq, Muqtada al-Sadr. An Iraqi citizen named Salwan Najem helped Momika.

The group called “Stop Burning the Quran”, which met in the region and organized on social media, reacted to Momika and Najem. Members of the group, founded by Swedish activists, wore fire helmets and chanted “Stop racist action.”

The police reacted harshly when one of the protesters tried to block Momika. The police officers arrested the protester and took him to the police station. After the provocation, Momika and Najem, who left the scene in an armored police vehicle, were accompanied by 20 police vehicles, 10 of which were armored, and approximately 150 policemen.

Although attacks on the Qur’an have intensified recently in Sweden and Denmark, allowing these provocations generates reactions. (AA)
