Meteorologist Jeff Powell said Hawaii was caught between high pressure in the north and low pressure caused by Hurricane Dora, making it difficult to control the fire.

Mahina Martin, a spokeswoman for the island of Maui in Hawaii, shared the information that fires are intensifying in two regions, 13,000 homes cannot be supplied with electricity, and evacuations have begun in some regions.

Maui Mayor Richard Bissen also said that at least two homes were damaged and 80 people were evacuated from 40 homes because of the fire, which broke out in an area of ​​about 4,500 square kilometers in the Kula region.

Bissen said approximately 400 more homes have been evacuated in North Maui.
