USA disappointed Ukraine

In an interview with CNN television, Blinken argued that Moscow had “already lost” the war in terms of the goals it had previously pursued regarding the Russia-Ukraine war.

Blinken said: “The goal was to wipe Ukraine off the map, destroy its independence and sovereignty, and incorporate it into Russia. That failed a long time ago.” he said.

RETURNED 50 PERCENT

Stating that Ukraine regained 50 percent of its territory occupied by Russia in the first few days, Blinken estimated that Ukraine’s counter-operation is still in its early stages and that this process will be difficult and the war may last a few more months.

F-16 DESCRIPTION

Blinken stated that regarding the shipment of F-16s to Ukraine, the problem is not just equipment, but training and the ability to use these materials.

Noting that this process also takes time, Blinken stressed that even if a decision on the progress of the F-16s is made tomorrow, it will take months for Ukrainian pilots to use the planes in war.

Blinken stressed that he believes the Ukrainians will buy F-16s, but when they do, they need to make sure they are properly trained, able to control the planes, and use them wisely.

CHINESE

Blinken said they are trying to strengthen communication channels so that competition with China does not turn into a conflict and they are trying to stabilize bilateral relations.

Blinken assessed that a conflict with China would not be in anyone’s interest. Noting that different teams are engaged with China on separate issues, Blinken said he believes the issues can be resolved.

Asked about the possibility of the United States lifting its sanctions against China’s defense minister to reduce tensions, Blinken said: “These sanctions do not prevent us or the minister from engaging with him.” he gave the answer. Blinken gave the message that China’s decision to engage with the United States is “political.”

The foreign minister said there is a demand in the world for the US and China to handle relations responsibly.

IRANIAN

Describing the decision by the administration of former US President Donald Trump to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal as “terrible”, Blinken said they are working as their European partners to return to the nuclear deal.

Noting that there have been some developments and changes since they withdrew from the agreement, Blinken noted that they intend to return to the agreement with few changes and that they made a good faith effort in this context, but Iran did not accept it.

On the other hand, noting that the deal must meet US interests, Blinken said: “We’re in a place where we don’t talk about the nuclear deal anymore. We make it very clear to them that they must take steps to reduce the tensions that exist on different fronts of our relationship. We’ll see if they do.” he said.

“Maybe we have an environment where we can talk again about their nuclear program,” Blinken said. He said that they care about diplomacy in solving problems, but that does not mean that they will not resort to other options if necessary. (AA)
