Swedish champion Andrey Rublev

Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev, world number 7 in men’s singles, won the trophy at the Swedish Open tournament he attended.

In the men’s singles final of the Swedish Open, one of the Association of Professional Tennis (ATP) 250 series tournaments hosted by the Bastad region, world number 4 Casper Ruud of Norway faced Rublev.

After a fight that lasted 1 hour and 31 minutes, Rublev defeated his opponent 2-0 in sets of 7-6, 6-0, earning his second ATP tournament win this season.

Argentine tennis player Pedro Cachin won the trophy at the Swiss Open.

Facing Spain’s Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the men’s singles final of the tournament held in the Gstaad region of Switzerland, world number 90 Cachin defeated his opponent 2-1 3-6, 6-0, 7-5 sets for his first career ATP Tour victory. (AA)
