Scary moments on the plane: he found the blood of the previous passenger on his seat

Habib Battah, who flew from the country’s capital Paris to Toronto in Canada with the French airline Air France, was shocked at what to do after his belongings were covered in blood on the plane.

Journalist Habib Battah, founder of the Beirut Report, described his horror when he realized that his belongings had come into contact with the blood of a previous passenger.

The unfortunate traveler tweeted on Saturday: “I’ve seen a few things in my life but the horrendous blood stained carpet on my @airfrance flight yesterday was on another level. An hour later, on the transatlantic flight from Paris to Toronto, it still smelled disgusting and I didn’t notice it,” he wrote.

He explained that when he looked down, he noticed a large red stain next to his chair. It was wet to the touch. At first the stewardess shrugged and handed him some tissues.

Battah, who said the scarves turned out to be blood red, added that he had used them more than a dozen times. SoShe said that she had gotten her backpack out from under the back seat and noticed that its strap was also wet.

“I got on my knees and cleaned for half an hour,” the passenger wrote, adding that the crew gave him extra gloves and tissues to clean the floors.

“Then they randomly noticed that a passenger on a flight before ours was bleeding,” Battah said, revealing his surprise.

THE PASSENGER HAS ARRIVED

The journalist said that a flight attendant had mentioned that the previous passenger had “internal bleeding and infection”, so he wondered if he and the other passengers had been exposed to any disease.

“I hope @airfrance takes this seriously and can tell us if we have been exposed to any dangerous medical/biological conditions,” Battah added.

In a statement, Air France apologized and said the teams would contact him as soon as possible.

Battah thanked the airline for its response, but wrote: “This is not a customer service issue. You have fresh human blood on your plane. You may have exposed me and other passengers to infectious diseases. We need to know the condition of the sick passengers as soon as possible,” he added.
