Dismembered body of missing soccer player found in river
Hugo Vinicius Skulny Pedrosa, 19, was dismembered and parts of him thrown into a river in the municipality of Sete Quedas, in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul.
According to reports in Brazil, police removed part of Hugo’s hip, torso and calf and identified them from his late father’s tattoo.
He was at a party at a gas station before his friends dropped him off at his ex-girlfriend’s house in the town of Sete Quedas, on the border with Paraguay.
Hugo lived with his grandmother and the night he disappeared (June 25) he called her and told her that everything was normal.
LOOKING FOR HIS HEAD
According to G1, Hugo was last seen by his friends around 5 a.m. on June 25. His mother reported him missing the next day.
“The head was not found, only the hips, torso and thighs were found,” said Lucelia Constantino, head of the Civil Police.
According to Campo Grande News, his mother, Eliana Skulny, said: “They found him dead in the Iguatemi River, they dismembered him. How cruel is the world, my God! My son was a good boy.” saying.
Hugo was a freshman in college studying physical education while playing forward for the municipal soccer team.
Authorities were still looking for the boy’s head in the river Monday, according to reports. At least one suspect, whose name has not been released by police, has been arrested.
