Russian statement from Ukraine: Everything is just beginning
Ukraine commented that “Everything is just beginning” due to the crisis that led to the alleged coup attempt in Russia.
Yevgeni Prigojin, the leader of the Russian Wagner mercenary group, which challenged Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, announced that they had captured many military installations in Rostov on the border and advanced towards Moscow.
The crisis, which the Russian Defense Ministry describes as an “armed uprising”, was echoed in Ukraine, which has been under Russian occupation for months. Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said: “The gap between the elites is very clear. “The perception that everything is fine is useless,” he said.
Podoyak described Prigokhin’s actions as “the fight against terrorism” and said: “Everything is just beginning in Russia. Someone will surely lose. “Or Prigojin or whoever is against him,” he said.
