Standing in the field: the mayor celebrated Father’s Day with a stripper
Miguel Villalobos, mayor of the city of Huehuetán in southern Mexico, became the agenda with the Father’s Day event organized…
In the event there was live music and a raffle, where all the inhabitants of the region were invited and both mothers and children as well as fathers participated. However, in the images shared on social networks, it was revealed that the mayor had invited a stripper to the event.
The women, who first displayed “sexy” dance figures in the pictures, then invited the men who participated in the event to the stage. While the men danced with the strippers, the women laid some men down on the floor and showed off their dance moves.
The fact that the strippers brought some parents on stage and included them in the show caused quite a reaction.
Some women who saw these images left the place in anger, taking their children with them. El Universal, one of the most widely read newspapers in the country, claimed that it was said that the women and children were not actually invited to the event. In the invitation text shared on Facebook, “Tomorrow! Remember, there’s an event just for dads tomorrow. That day is coming.”
Mayor Miguel Villalobos has not yet ruled on the reaction.
The region’s feminist association, 50+1 Kolektif, also reacted to the strippers’ dance. The non-governmental organization issued a statement saying: “We condemn the municipality for the sexually explicit dancing of the women at the event.”
