Environmentalists raided the shareholders’ meeting of another giant company
In Paris, France, environmentalists stormed the annual meeting of shareholders of the French energy giant TotalEnergies this morning.
Environmentalists, who tried to prevent the company’s annual meeting of shareholders, blocked the entrance to the building. The police responded with tear gas to the crowd that chanted slogans with banners in their hands.
Police went to great lengths to keep protesters away from the building at events that caused confusion. The police were barely able to get Total shareholders, who attended the meeting, into the building.
At today’s TotalEnergies meeting, shareholders are expected to vote on green energy solutions to reduce fossil fuels.
In London on Tuesday, the annual meeting of the Shell oil company was delayed due to the actions of environmentalists, and there was a big fight in front of the building.
British police had taken protesters carrying banners with the inscription “Close the Shell” in their hands, from the area carrying a crow bomb.
