Country shaken by armed attack: 60 civilians killed
In a written statement from the Ouahigouya Prosecutor’s Office in the north, it was reported that unidentified gunmen carried out an attack on the village of Karma in the Yatenga district on April 20.
In the statement it was announced that at least 60 people lost their lives as a result of the fire opened by the attackers who wore military uniforms.
NO EXPLANATIONS FROM THE GOVERNMENT
There was no government statement on the attack. Again, in the attack on the volunteer militia headquarters in the Yatenga district on April 16, 10 soldiers and 32 volunteer militiamen lost their lives.
44 people were killed in attacks on 2 villages on the border with Niger on April 7.
