The EU, Serbia and Kosovo establish a joint monitoring mechanism for standardization
In a written statement from the office of the EU High Representative for Foreign Relations and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, the EU, Kosovo and Serbia as facilitators of the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue; It was claimed that a Joint Monitoring Committee was established to oversee the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement, which provides for normalization between the two countries.
In the statement, it was reported that the Joint Monitoring Committee will be chaired by the EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and Other Western Balkan Regional Affairs, Miroslav Lajcak.
It was announced that Kosovo will be represented by Ambassador Agron Bajrami in Brussels and Chief Negotiator Petar Petkovic for Serbia.
The statement said the committee will meet regularly in Brussels and job descriptions will be determined at the May 2 meeting. (AA)
