Putin’s surprise visit to Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Kherson and Lugansk regions that his country annexed from Ukraine.
According to a written statement from the Kremlin, Putin went to the city of Kherson and visited the headquarters of the “Dnieper” combat group. Having received information about the situation in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, Putin went to the Lugansk region, visited the headquarters of the combat group “Vostok” here and met with military officials about the situation in the region.
The statement did not provide information on when the visits took place.
While visiting the Kherson and Lugansk regions for the first time, Putin visited the city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region on March 18.
