Current US President Joe Biden plans to run again for president in 2024, President Biden said in an interview on NBC’s “Today Show” on Easter Monday.
President Biden indicated in the interview that he intends to run again, but this is not an official announcement for his candidacy for a second term. “We’re not ready for this yet,” he said.
“There are too many things to focus on in the short term before you can start a campaign”
This isn’t the first time Biden has indicated he wants to be president of the United States for another term. In an interview with ABC News last February, he said it was his intention all along for him to put a second term into his presidency. Biden said he is in no rush to announce his decision because there are “too many things to focus on in the short term before I can start a campaign.”
Vice President Kamala Harris has also indicated she plans to serve as Joe Biden’s right-hand man for a second term.
Former President Donald Trump already started his campaign in January to be re-elected president of the United States in 2024.
