The UN Secretary General’s reaction to Israel’s attack on the Al-Aqsa Mosque

UN Secretary General’s spokesman Stephane Dujarric spoke about the Al-Aqsa attack at the daily press conference.

Dujarric, “Secretary General, describes the images of violence by Israeli security forces at Qibla Masjid as appalling and shocking.” he made the statement.

Stating that this period, which is sacred to Jews, Christians and Muslims, should be a time of peace, not violence, Dujarric asserted that places of worship should only be used for peaceful worship.

Dujarric noted that Israeli forces also damaged the campus health center and that the UN could help rebuild this center.

MASJID-I AKSA raid

A group of Palestinians took shelter at the Qibla Masjid inside Masjid al-Aqsa after the evening prayer, after fanatical Jewish settlers called for a raid on Masjid al-Aqsa due to the “Passover Festival” and the sacrifices there .

During the raid on Aqsa at the time of sahur, Israeli forces violently intervened against those who took refuge in the Qibla Masjid and turned the holy temple into a “battlefield”. The raid by Israeli forces continued after morning prayer. (AA)
