An alarming move by Putin: We will plant tactical nuclear weapons
In an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel, Putin made statements on the items on the agenda.
Responding to the question of whether the shipment of weapons to Ukraine by Western countries poses a threat to Russia, Putin said: “Of course there is a threat. “This is a real threat when weapons are sent to the country with which we are in conflict,” he said.
Noting that the amount of weapons shipped to Ukraine is high, Putin said: “This is a huge amount, but according to the information we have, 14-15 thousand artillery shells are produced in the United States every month. According to the information our soldiers have, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fire about 5 thousand shells in one day and one night. The United States plans to produce 42,000 shells each month next year and 75,000 shells in 2025,” he said.
Stating that military industrial production in Russia is developing very rapidly, Putin said that they plan to produce 3 times more artillery shells in the same period than the amount of weapons that the West plans to send to Ukraine.
Assessing the UK’s statement that it will send depleted uranium munitions to Ukraine and that it is not dangerous in terms of radiation, Putin said: “This is not true. These are not weapons of mass destruction. This is a fact, but uranium munitions generate radiation dust. In that sense, of course, these are dangerous weapons,” he said.
Explaining that this type of ammunition was used in the former Yugoslavia and Iraq, Putin drew attention to the fact that this caused cancer to multiply many times over.
Expressing that the use of the munitions in question would harm the territory of Ukraine and its citizens, Putin said: “Russia has the ability to respond to this. We have hundreds of thousands of such ammunition. We are not using them for now.” he used his statements.
TURKEY ALSO QUALIFY
Expressing that NATO has planted tactical nuclear weapons in other countries, Vladimir Putin shared the information that they will also plant such a weapon in Belarus.
“The West has been doing this for decades. They have already deployed their tactical nuclear weapon in allied countries, NATO countries and Europe. This weapon is stationed in Germany, Turkey, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Greece. There is a store of this weapon in Greece. We agreed to do the same with Belarus. We will do this without violating our international non-proliferation obligations.” saying.
Stating that they helped re-equip Belarusian planes for this, Putin claimed that 10 of these planes are ready to use tactical nuclear weapons.
Recalling that they have delivered the “Alexander” high-precision missile systems to Belarus, Putin emphasized that these systems will also be equipped with tactical nuclear weapons. (AA)
