New minimum wage announced in Greece
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced that the minimum wage was increased to 780 euros from April 1.
600 THOUSAND WORKERS BENEFITED
In the statement issued, it was reported that the New Democracy government in power increased the minimum wage by 9.4 percent for the third time in a row, and that approximately 600,000 workers will benefit from this opportunity.
“I don’t have dreams, I know that wages are still low in our country and the inflation of imports puts more pressure on them,” said Mitsotakis. I hear this all the time, especially from young men and women who are in trouble. Of course, the new walk will not solve the problems, but it will create significant relief to solve them. I would like to emphasize that the final agreed amount is at the upper limit of our possibilities”.
It was also indicated that in Greece 17.51 euros per day and 438 euros per month were paid to the unemployed.
