Impressive Bloomberg Election Analysis: Erdogan Must Account For Earthquake Victims

Thorough and transparent research is needed to identify and reform failing government institutions. Erdogan should send invitations to independent non-governmental organizations to monitor state reconstruction efforts and ensure fair distribution of funds and minimize bribery. Reconstruction approvals must be open to scrutiny by NGOs and the media. A presidential apology should also be issued, as Erdogan praised some of the buildings destroyed in the past and granted amnesty to the builders.”
