Dangerous trend on TikTok… Poisoned students
Another TikTok trend has become an event. The trend drew attention with the poisoning of many students in the United States.
UMass officials reported that 28 ambulances were dispatched to the scene due to binge drinking sparked by the trend dubbed “TikTok BORG” at the night of entertainment attended by students.
Noting that the poisoned students were not endangering their lives, the authorities noted that many state institutions in the region mobilized due to the seriousness of the incident. Local police said two people were detained in connection with the incident.
In the statement from UMass officials, it was shared that weekend activities will be reviewed and education on alcohol consumption will be increased.
In the statement, it was recalled that students attending the university were educated about the psychological problems and health risks caused by excessive alcohol consumption.
The “TikTok BORG” trend, which has been on the agenda recently at US universities, is a new fad on the Chinese social media platform that promises a reduced-drinking method.
BORG stands for “Blackout Rage Gallon”; refers to an alcoholic beverage made with water, vodka, caffeinated sweetener, and electrolytes. (AA)
