Cricket-flavored ice cream goes on sale in Germany

Thomas Micolino, who runs an ice cream parlor called Rino in the German-Swiss border town of Rottenburg, said in a statement to German media that he was able to produce insect-flavored ice cream after a long trial period and offered it to Your clients

Expressing that he likes to try different recipes, Micolino drew attention to the fact that he had previously produced ice cream flavored with moldy cheese and liver sausage.

The ice cream produced by Micolino consists of cricket flour, cream, vanilla extract and honey and has whole dried crickets.

Thomas Micolino added that some people are upset and even upset that they offer beetle ice cream, but curious customers like the new flavor.

The EU had approved the use of crickets in food in a certain amount, after mealworms and grasshoppers.
