Satellite image showing the destruction caused by the earthquake
As Turkey was rocked by earthquakes on February 6, satellite images sent by China reveal the extent of the situation.
China-based industry media company China Space News announced that China sent satellites for better analysis of search and rescue efforts in Turkey and shared the images obtained from these satellites.

Images obtained from Chinese satellites revealed the magnitude of the quake.
He announced that Chinese scientists using the synthetic imaging radar system for post-earthquake search and rescue studies received data from two satellites named L-SAR 01A and L-SAR 01B. The scientists also stated that these satellites are generally used for forestry, mapping, and prevention of natural disasters.
It was also claimed that these devices, which have a microwave imaging radar system, can take high-resolution microwave images of the surface. It was reported that dozens of high-resolution images were taken on February 10 and this information was shared with Chinese search and rescue teams in the region, as well as Turkish authorities. This was also claimed to have aided search and rescue efforts.
