In his speech at the 59th Munich Security Conference, Pistorius claimed that Russia is waging a brutal war of aggression and conquest against Ukraine, arguing that if Russian President Vladimir Putin gets what he wants here, it will be a start.

Pointing out that Germany assumes various roles within NATO, Pistorius said the German military is important for Europe’s security and will assume responsibility in the alliance from now on.
Expressing that this has a cost, Pistorius recalled that the German government has allocated a fund of 100 billion euros for the use of the army.
