Passage of ‘fast visa’ from Germany to victims of the earthquake

The “Easy German Visa” for earthquake victims begins, first announced by SÖZCÜ. The German government has simplified and accelerated the processes so that the victims of the earthquake in Turkey can go to their relatives in Germany more easily and quickly.

Although it was explained that the objective was to obtain a visa for those affected by the earthquake as quickly as possible and without bureaucratic obstacles, the steps to follow to do so were listed.

WHAT WILL PEOPLE DO WITH LOST DOCUMENTS?

In a statement to the Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid Committee, the Foreign Ministry said that those who have a Turkish passport and other documents can apply from anywhere in Turkey, regardless of the authorized consulate. The official said Turkey’s promise to those whose documents were lost due to the earthquake to “issue passports and documents quickly” was received, but said Ankara would not make an exception to issue Turkey passports.

The German Foreign Office announced that the fast German visa will work as follows:

THE NUMBER OF STAFF WILL INCREASE: Additional staff will be added to the visa department, especially at the consulates general in Ankara and Istanbul. It will be possible to apply to these places from all over Turkey. The iDATA application center will be strengthened.

ADANA MOBILE VISA CENTER: A mobile visa team will be established in a city close to the earthquake zone, possibly Adana. Six additional employees will work here and will test the earthquake zone applications.

FEES DISCOUNTS COMING: Visa applications will be charged less than the fee charged in normal periods. How much this will be is unknown at this time. Efforts will be made to bring the victims in Syria to their relatives.

HOW MANY APPS ARE THERE? Responding to questions from lawmakers in the Human Rights Committee, the Foreign Ministry announced that there were many visa applications, but this did not look like a new wave of immigration.

THE FAMILY REUNION WILL BE ACCELERATED: Due to the earthquake disaster, Extended Family Reunification (by marriage) demands will also be expedited. The same centers will be authorized to do so.

HOW TO SEND INVITATION?

Another problem is the rapid delivery of the invitations and commitments that relatives in Germany must give through the municipalities to the victims of the earthquake in Turkey. It is recommended to first discard the invitation image and then quickly send it to a secure and unbreakable address.
