Minister Akar met with NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg
Following the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg paid a solidarity visit to Turkey.
Stoltenberg, who was received by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was received by Minister of National Defense Akar at the 10th Tank Base Command in Adana, where he later arrived by plane.
Akar and Stoltenberg, who flew in by helicopter from here, surveyed the quake damage in Hatay from the air.
Akar briefed the NATO Secretary General on the earthquakes and the subsequent work.

The earthquakes we experience are among the greatest natural disasters of the century. We want to express our gratitude to each of our allies, partners and friends who support us in these difficult days. After these difficult days, we welcome the activation by the Alliance of the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center and the decision to establish a tent city for 2,000 people in Iskenderun.” (AA)
