FBI Searches Former Vice President Pence’s Home Related Articles

Today, FBI agents searched the home of former US Vice President Mike Pence. This writes Bloomberg. Federal agents were looking for classified documents that might be in Pence’s hands.

The FBI, the US Department of Justice and a spokesman for Pence declined to comment immediately, although it was clear the search had been authorized.

Officers searched the home after Pence’s attorneys admitted that a small amount of classified documents had previously been found in his private home in Indiana, which were later turned over to the FBI.

The US Justice Department has appointed special counsel to investigate how confidential documents ended up in the homes of both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

Biden and Pence both cooperated fully with authorities and returned the documents in question. Trump declined, saying he declared the documents non-secret when he took them.
